Principal's Message

Hello Alder Families,

Although this week was a short one due to snow days, our students stayed engaged and productive while they were here. In science classes, students explored concepts of air conduction and air pressure through hands-on learning and discussion. In Spanish class, students built their vocabulary and strengthened sentence structure, using Valentine’s Day as a fun and relatable focal point for their work. In Financial Literacy, students were introduced to cryptocurrency and began learning about how digital currency works and its role in today’s economy.

Our 8th grade students had the opportunity to visit the high school’s Academic Fair, where they explored the wide range of courses, programs, and extracurricular opportunities the high school has to offer. This experience helped students begin thinking about their future pathways as they prepare for the transition to high school.

Even with a shortened schedule, it was wonderful to see students continuing to learn, collaborate, and stay curious.

Thank you for your flexibility and support during this snowy week.

Sincerely,
Ms. Cunningham

Thank you!

We would also like to extend special recognition and thanks to our custodial staff for their hard work clearing snow and ensuring our walkways were safe for students, staff, and families. Their dedication behind the scenes made it possible for us to reopen safely after the snow! 👏
