Posted on 06/06/2018

Mrs. Delgaizo-mallett & purple team teachers & students attended their annual/traditional field trip to the forsythe wildlife refuge.  Great time for all & thank you to everyone who attended & chaperoned!

The purpose of the trip is for students to learn what they have been studying in7th grade Science classes with food chains & Ecosystems & tie it all together about coastal habitats among 47,000 acres of Southern NJ.  Volunteers teach the students how to bird watch thousands of birds to fiddler crabs & participate with a scavenger hunt through a forest locating trees & leaves.  As well as seeing turtles laying eggs, snakes, & lots of frogs.

The Purple Team has been participating with this trip for the last 10 years.
